Day 1

Arrive at Leh Airport (3500m)

Leh-Ladakh Monasteries - Lakes Circuit 7 Days Tour

Arrive at Leh Airport (3500m) and rest for high-altitude acclimatization. Complete rest is mandatory to prevent AMS; avoid strenuous activity and stay hydrated. In the late afternoon, take a very gentle walk to the Shanti Stupa for a short visit and a panoramic sunset view over the Leh valley and surrounding mountain ranges, returning to the hotel for an early dinner.

Day 2

Leh Local Sightseeing and Indus Valley Monasteries.

After a late breakfast, visit the Hall of Fame museum dedicated to the Indian Army, followed by the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar Rivers (Sangam). In the afternoon, visit the magnificent Thiksey Monastery, an architectural marvel resembling the Potala Palace, and the Shey Palace before retiring for the night.

Day 3

Drive from Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La Pass (approx. 5-6 hours).

Drive over the famous Khardung La Pass, traditionally claimed as the world's highest motorable road (5359m), stopping briefly for photos. Descend into the vast, beautiful high-altitude desert of Nubra. Check into a campsite/guesthouse in Hunder and rest before the evening activity.

Day 4

Nubra Valley Exploration and drive to Pangong Tso Lake (approx. 6-7 hours).

Visit the Diskit Monastery, famous for its giant Maitreya Buddha statue, offering grand views of the Shyok Valley. Afterward, enjoy the unique Double-Humped Camel Safari on the white sand dunes of Hunder. Continue the journey to Pangong Tso Lake via the scenic Shyok River route.

Day 5

Pangong Tso Lake to Tso Moriri Lake (approx. 7-8 hours).

Witness the stunning sunrise over Pangong Tso, where the water dramatically changes colors throughout the morning. Drive along the Changthang plateau towards the remote Tso Moriri Lake, a quieter, pristine high-altitude wetland. Check into a tented camp in Korzok village near the lake for the night.

Day 6

Tso Moriri to Leh via Chumathang (approx. 8 hours).

Spend the morning enjoying the serene beauty and birdlife around Tso Moriri. Drive back towards Leh, stopping at the Chumathang hot springs for a break. The route offers unique landscapes of the Changthang region, showcasing the remote, high-altitude desert environment before reaching the comforts of a hotel in Leh.

Day 7

Departure from Leh.

After a final traditional Ladakhi breakfast, check out from the hotel. Depending on your flight schedule, you may spend a final hour exploring the local Leh market for Tibetan handicrafts, souvenirs, and prayer items. You will then be transferred to Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport (IXL) for your onward journey.
