Valley Of Flowers - Hemkund Sahib Trek 6 Days Tour

Start the trek (or take a taxi) from Govindghat to Pulna Village, then begin the ascent to Ghangaria (10 km trek). Ghangaria is the base camp for both the Valley of Flowers and Hemkund Sahib, located in a picturesque setting. The trail is well-maintained and follows the Pushpawati River. Check into the campsite/hotel and spend the evening exploring the small, bustling settlement.

Full day dedicated to the Valley of Flowers National Park (3 km trek one way). Walk through the gentle trail, crossing bridges and meadows bursting with hundreds of species of alpine flowers (peak bloom is generally late July to mid-August). Spend hours exploring this UNESCO World Heritage Site, soaking in the ethereal beauty of the vibrant flora set against the backdrop of towering snow peaks before returning to Ghangaria.

This is a challenging, steep trail leading to the sacred Sikh Gurudwara and Hindu Laxman Mandir beside a pristine glacial lake. The path is stone-paved and rewards the effort with stunning high-altitude views. Spend time in reflection at the holy site before making the descent back to Ghangaria for the well-earned rest and overnight stay.

Enjoy the final views of the valley on the comfortable downhill walk, feeling the ease of the lower altitude. From Govindghat, take a short drive to Joshimath, an ancient town with cultural significance. Check into your hotel in Joshimath and relax, preparing for the long journey back home tomorrow.
